Deep Prose Software ได้ประกาศเปิดตัวโปรแกรมที่ชื่อ Cyclops 1.0 ซึ่งความสามารถของมันคือ สแกนบาร์โค็ดของผลิตภัณฑ์นั้นๆ แล้วจะทำการหาข้อมูลของสินค้า โดยข้อมูลที่ได้มานั้นจะได้มาจาก Amazon แล้วแสดงอยู่ในรูปลิงก์จะนำไปหาสินค้าตัวนั้นๆ
การใช้งานง่ายเพียงถ่ายรูปบาร์โค็ดของสินค้าด้วยกล้องจาก iPhone 3GS เท่านั้น แล้วก็ปล่อยให้เป็นหน้าที่ของ Cyclops 1.0 เลยครับ
การทำงานเมื่อถ่ายรูปบาร์โค็ดแล้ว Cyclops 1.0 จะทำการค้นหาข้อมูลแบบรีลไทม์จากฐานข้อมูล โดยการประมวลผลการอ่านบาร์โค็ดจะกระทำอยู่ที่ตัวเครื่อง iPhone 3GS เลยแล้ว จากนั้นจะรับข้อมูลมาเช่น title, image, publisher, studio, tracks, dewey decimal number, prices และือื่นๆจาก Amazon US, UK, FR, DE, CA or JP. โปรแกรมรองรับบาร์โค็ดทั้ง UPC และ EAN

การค้นหานี้จำเป็นต้องอาศัยอินเทอร์เน็ตในการรับส่งข้อมูล หากตอนนั้นไม่มีเน็ตโปรแกรมก็จะหาข้อมูลให้เมื่อเราต่อเน็ตอีกครั้งครับ

ความต้องการจากโปรแกรม
Cyclops 1.0 ต้องการกล้องที่มาพร้อมกับ iPhone 3GS แน่นอนเวอร์ชั่นนี้ไม่รองรับ iPhone รุ่นเก่าๆ(เวอร์ชั่นหน้าอาจจะมีครับ แต่ก็ไม่แน่)
โปรแกรมสามารถหาโหลดได้ที่ App Store นะครับ ซึ่งราคาก็ ฟรี ครับ
