นับวันเราก็ได้รู้ว่าการอัปเดต iPhone OS 3.1 ได้ส่งผลกระทบอย่างไรบ้างกับผู้ใช้ iPhone ที่เป็นเครื่อง Hack (-: อย่างผมและท่านๆอีกหลายคน อย่างแรกเลยคือ หากไปอัปเดตโดยที่ไม่รู้ตัว เครื่องก็โดนล็อคโทรออกไม่ได้ (ณ ตอนนี้ก็ยังแก้ไม่ได้ซะส่วนใหญ่ แต่บางคนอาจจะได้ เช่น เครื่อง 3G รุ่นแรกๆ), เครื่องไม่สามารถ Jailbreak ได้ เพราะเครื่องมือยังไม่มี (หลายๆคนเดินไปตามร้านก็ระวังด้วยนะ เดี๋ยวถูกหลอกให้เสียตัง เพราะยังไงซะก็ยัง Jailbreak ไม่ได้อยู่ดีในตอนนี้)
อีกปัญหาที่ตามมาคือ MMS และ Internet Tethering ไม่สามารถ Hack ได้ ตรงนี้ถูกป้องกันจากทาง Apple โดยตรงเลย (สำหรับลูกค้าทรูไม่ต้องกลัวครับ ท่านยังใช้งานได้ปกติ เพราะว่าท่านเป็นพันธมิตรกับ Apple ครับ)
ดังนั้นหากว่าคุณยังชื่นชอบการส่ง MMS หรือการใช้งาน Tethering อยู่หละก็ จงอย่าได้อัปเดต iPhone OS 3.1 โดยให้ใช้ OS 3.0 ต่อไปก่อนครับ ต้องรอสักระยะให้มีสักคนพัฒนาเครื่องมือมาให้เราใช้(หรือว่าท่านใดมีความสามารถก็เอามาแจกจ่ายได้นะครับ) เพราะหากอัปเดตไปแล้ว อย่างแรกคือใช้งานอย่างที่กล่าวมาไม่ได้ และการดาวน์เกรดก็ยากเหลือเกิน เผลอทำการดาวน์เกรดไม่ได้อีก อันนี้ต้องระวังครับ
