Microsoft ปล่อย Messenger v. 8 สำหรับแมคแล้วหลังจากที่เป็น Beta อยู่นานตอนนี้ออกเวอร์ชันเต็มแล้ว สำหรับความสามารถเด่นๆที่เพิ่มเข้ามาคือการรองรับ VDO Chat นั่นเองสามารถดาวน์โหลดได้แล้ววันนี้
ความสามารถของ Messenger v.8 สำหรับแมคตัวนี้ช่วยให้ผู้ใช้ MSN บนแมคและวินโดว์สามารถที่จะคุยกันผ่านวีดีโอแช็ทได้หลังจากที่เวอร์ชัน Windows Live Messenger บนวินโดว์นั้นทำได้นานแล้วก็คงจะไม่ตื่นเต้นอะไรมากนัก
หลักการใช้งานก็เหมือนกันโดยล็อคอินด้วย Windows Live ID ที่ใช้อยู่ทั่วไปๆเท่านี้ก็สามารถติดต่อกันได้แล้ว
